摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control muffler capable of reducing restrictions in layout in a main muffler main body, increasing degree of freedom in tuning of noise reduction characteristic, and, in particular, increasing noise reduction effect further when idling by tuning noise reduction characteristic by utilizing not only the inside of the main muffler main body but also the whole underfloor part of a vehicle to obtain the optimum noise reduction characteristic. SOLUTION: Branch pipes 2, 3 in two systems are provided from an exhaust pipe 1 for leading exhaust gas from an engine through a branched part 1a, a rear muffler 4 is provided on the downstream side of the branch pipes 2, 3 in two systems, and center mufflers 5, 6 are provided on the halfway of the branch pipes 2, 3 in two systems. A solenoid valve 7 and a control butterfly valve 8 capable of opening, closing, and controlling each branch pipe 2, 3 are provided on the halfway of the branch pipes 2, 3 in two systems, respectively.
