PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof unit and a construction method using this roof unit, for effectively utilizing a space in an attic space in a using state after installation by providing sufficient strength in carrying and installation. SOLUTION: A diagonal member 17B of a left side surface 12b being at least one area, is removed from an upper installation plate member 14a and a lower installation plate member 16b in an installation state. This diagonal member 17B is installed in the upper installation plate member 14a and the lower installation plate member 16b arranged on a right side surface 12d being the other area, and an opening part of a substantially rectangular shape in a front view is formed in an area of the left side surface 12b of removing the diagonal member 17B.
