PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel tower disassembling method by a helicopter and a work tool, for efficiently and safely performing steel tower disassembling work in a short period. SOLUTION: An annular member 20 to be suspended by the helicopter 40 is installed in an upper part of a steel tower constituting member 26 of an existing steel tower 10, and among an existing steel tower constituting member 26, the connection of a part carried by the helicopter 40 and a residual part is released. The temporary connection of the carrying part is performed by a connecting tool 50 and a pin 54 being a holding member for holding the connecting tool 50 by the steel tower constituting member 26, and the pin 54 can be released by a string 64 from aboveground. The pin 54 is released from aboveground in a state of being capable of suspending the annular member 20 by the helicopter 40. The connecting tool 50 of the steel tower constituting member 26 is removed, and the steel tower constituting member 26 connected to the annular member 20 can be carried by the helicopter 40.
