PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition excellent in gas barrier properties, and to provide a laminated film (or a laminated product). SOLUTION: This aqueous resin composition with the gas barrier properties contains (i) a polyurethane resin containing urethane groups and urea groups in a concentration of 25-60 wt.% in total and having an acid value of 5-100 mgKOH/g, (ii) a swelling inorganic layered compound, such as water-swelling mica and montmorillonite, and (iii) a polyamine compound having an amine value of 100-1,900 mgKOH/g. The polyurethane resin (i) is obtained by reacting (A) an aromatic, araliphatic, or alicyclic polyisocyanate with (B) a polyhydroxyalkane carboxylic acid, together with at least one component selected from (C) a 2-8C alkylene glycol and (D) a chain extender (a diamine, hydrazine, and a hydrazine derivative), and is neutralized with a neutralizer. The polyurethane resin (i) and the polyamine compound (iii) are contained in the composition in a ratio of an equivalent of the acid groups to an equivalent of basic nitrogen atoms of 10/1 to 1/5.
