PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus for an ornamental fish aquarium, having high reliability of aquarium temperature control and of the response in a case of abnormality. SOLUTION: The ornamental fish aquarium has a water temperature sensor 35 for detecting temperature of water flowing in a heat exchanger 14 for water and a pipe temperature sensor 36 for detecting, through the pipe, the temperature of a liquified coolant flowing through a condenser 9, and abnormality estimation of the cooling apparatus for the ornamental fish aquarium is performed based on the water temperature and the pipe temperature detected by the sensors. When the water temperature sensor value is≤6°C, freeze attention is displayed, and when the pipe temperature sensor value is≥60°C, excess temperature warning is displayed.
