PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap body for a small animal-rearing cage, preventing the scattering of radioactive iodine and the invasion and advance of pathogenic bacteria, also preventing the soiling of an outside environment and bad effects for the small animals and capable of securing a high safety, a cost reduction, convenience, etc. SOLUTION: This cap body 12 covering the opening part 11a and sidewall surfaces 11b to 11e of a container main body 11 for housing small animals is provided by being formed with a sheet body 12 of a paper-shaped activated carbon fiber, having a closely attaching part having flexibility, and elongating and contracting property, and to be closely attached to the sidewall surfaces of the container main body, covering the opening part of the container main body on covering the cap main body, and also closely attaching it by tightening the sidewall surface of the container main body with the closely attaching part.
