This invention attempts to provide a composition for intranasal administration which has markedly lower risk of developing side effects compared to oral formulation, which promptly exhibits analgesic effects, and which has excellent bioavailability. <??>The composition for nasal absorption comprises a carrier of calcium carbonate and/or calcium phosphate having an average particle size of 500 mu m or less and an effective dose of an opioid analgesic uniformly distributed and attached to the carrier.
