A substituted 3-phenyl-5-alkoxy-3H-(1,3,4)-oxadiazol-2-one, compound of formula 1, wherein R¹, R², R³, R⁴ and R⁵ are as defined herein, pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound and use of the compound for inhibiting pancreatic lipase, or the prophylaxis or treatment of obesity are described.
