The system has an imaging device (101) with a light source to illuminate a transparency media and to project an image on a media adapter (200). The adapter has a lens assembly between two mirrors. One mirror receives and projects the image to the assembly. The assembly magnifies and projects the image to another mirror. The latter mirror reflects the magnified image to a contact image sensor during an imaging operation. An independent claim is also included for a method of forming an image using a transparency media adapter.
