The method involves testing user identification if a multimedia content is a charged multimedia content. The charged multimedia content is delivered to the user and the user account is debited, if the user is verified to have the account holding rights to access the charged multimedia content. The testing, verification and account debiting are implemented by proxy server software independent of Internet site server software. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a computer program stored in an information medium and comprising instructions for implementing a method of accessing a multimedia content (b) an information medium readable by a computer, containing program instructions for implementing a multimedia content access method (c) a platform for accessing a multimedia content of an Internet site.
