The embroidery fabric (1) is woven with one or more threads (2) of a different colour that are spaced at intervals and act as guide lines. The different-coloured threads are made from a material that can be dissolved in a liquid or otherwise eliminated by a physical and/or chemical process on completion of the embroidered design (3), leaving no trace. The coloured threads can be incorporated in the embroidery fabric as warp or weft threads that are generally spaced at intervals equivalent to ten embroidery stitches each way and can be removed by dissolving in a liquid or exposure to light, heat, abrasion or other means.
|
