The clip has a movable tube (1) slidingly mounted on a fixed tube (2). Two clip units (4, 5) are pivotally mounted on an axle (3) mounted on the tube (2). The tube (1) has two fingers (8,9) spaced out with respect to the axle, where the fingers are engaged in elongated slits (10, 11) on parts (4a, 4b) of corresponding clipping unit, such that relative sliding of the tubes controls the pivoting of the clip units around the axle. An independent claim is also included for a utilization of the clip to move in a hand inaccessible zone in a buried pit comprising a water or gas meter.
