PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collection bag for an electric vacuum cleaner which achieves high collecting efficiency at a low pressure loss that is not attained sufficiently by conventional dust collection bags and is unlikely to break when used. SOLUTION: The dust collection bag for the electric vacuum cleaner includes an inner bag and an outer bag and has the outer bag made of a fiber sheet having a basis weight of 35-80 g/m<SP>2</SP>and formed by superposing a wet nonwoven fabric containing equal to or more than 40% of a polyvinyl alcohol based fiber integrally to either side or both sides of a meltblown nonwoven fabric composed of fibers each having a fiber diameter equal to or less than 10μm.
