PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified polyolefin resin composition well dispersing a clay mineral in a polyolefin and to provide the modified polyolefin resin composition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the modified polyolefin resin composition is carried out by compounding and melt kneading 100 pts. wt. of the following (A) with 0.1-50 pts. wt. of the following (B). The modified polyolefin resin composition is provided. (A) A polyolefin resin modified to a compound having an amino group and an unsaturated bond and (B) the clay mineral. The amount of the added component (B) is 0.1-50 pts. wt., preferably 0.1-40 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. of the polyolefin resin modified to the compound having the amino group and the unsaturated bond. When the amount added is smaller than 0.1 pt. wt., the material strength is not obtained. The larger amount than 50 pts. wt. is not preferable from the viewpoint of reduction in weight.
