PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer control device and a recording device which execute transfer operation of a transfer means in high resolution. SOLUTION: The transfer control device comprises an encoder means to output an edge signal according to the operation of the transfer means and a calculation means to compute the speed of the transfer means. Using the speed information, the device calculates the time from the detection of the edge of the last encoder signal to a stop position and counts the time to output a signal to stop the transfer means. Further, when the edge of the encoder signal is sensed on the way of counting, the device outputs a signal to stop the transfer means. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
