摘要 <p>A glide kite airplane capable of a variable speed flight to enable a safe flight and take-off and landing and allow incidental facilities to be made on a small scale in that propulsion air currents from a propelling device are used for both a propulsion force and a lift. A glide kite airplane (10) has forwardly convexly curved kite type wings (14), jet propulsion devices (22) for generating a propulsion force and a lift by spouting air currents obliquely downward toward curved recesses formed in the backs of the wings (14), and horizontal stability wings (26) for changing the angle of inclination (theta) of the wings (14) during the flight. When the angle of inclination (theta) is increased, the propulsion air currents are directed downward, so that the lift component increases by the amount corresponding to the amount of decrease in propulsion force, enabling a low speed flight. Therefore, a variable speed flight becomes possible, and increasing the angle of inclination (theta) during landing makes low speed safe landing possible. Further, since this glide kite airplane (10) forcefully diffuses, on the backs of the kite wings, the strong jet air currents from the jet propulsion devices (22), it is possible to provide a transport means capable of an efficient flight at low altitudes, adapted for easy water take-off and landing, and suitable for low altitude marine transport.</p>
