<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously treating a liquid substance capable of miniaturizing a device and reducing cost compared with a conventional device which performs sterilization and enzyme deactivation processing of the liquid substance using pressurized carbon dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: The sterilization and enzyme deactivation treatment of the liquid substance is performed by the method for continuously treating having (a) a process of mixing carbon dioxide with the liquid object to be treated under pressurization, (b) a process of making carbon dioxide to supercritical or subcritical state and dissolving at least 4% of carbon dioxide into the object to be treated by holding the object to be treated mixed with carbon dioxide for 1-10 minutes while heating it at 30-60°C, (c) a process of holding the liquid object to be treated after carbon dioxide is dissolved for 30 sec to 30 min, and (d) a process of rapidly reducing pressure on the liquid object to be treated after holding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
