PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble metal working oil composition excellent in non-corrosivity to nonferrous metals such as aluminum and aluminum alloys and putrefaction resistance. SOLUTION: The water-soluble metal working oil composition contains silatrans expressed by general formula (1), an oily agent, alkanolamine and base oil. In the formula, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each a hydrogen atom or a 1-2C hydrocarbon group; they may not be the same altogether ; R<SB>5</SB>is a 1-18C hydrocarbon group.
