PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase productivity at the time of manufacturing a diaphragm with free edges. SOLUTION: A flat film piece 71 constituted by perforating a film 7 is positioned at the mold portion of a split mold 3, and in a state that the outer peripheral edge side of the film piece 71 is held and maintained by the split mold 3, a core is projected from one mold member 4, and the film piece is formed to be a diaphragm body 11 having a shape corresponding to the tip of the core 6. Also, a fluid rubber composition is filled and solidified in an annular space formed along the outer peripheral edge of the film piece, so that an annular edge 14 continuing to the outer peripheral edge of the diaphragm body 11 can be molded. The formation of the diaphragm body 11 of the desired shape from the film piece 71, and the molding of the edge 14 successively to the diaphragm body can be carried out in one split mold 3.
