PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening metal fitting formed of one steel plate, which can stably support an external wall plate and maintain ventilation between the external wall plate and a building frame, and an external wall construction structure using this fastening metal fitting. SOLUTION: A left side support part 12L and a right side support part 12R which are made to abut on the rear surface of the external wall plate in fastening, are provided on the lateral side of the fastening metal fitting 10. In the intermediate region held between the left and right side support parts 12L, 12R, a base plate part 11 serving as a fixing part to the building frame side, a center support part 12C made to abut on the rear surface of the external wall in fastening, an engagement part 21 to be engaged with the upper and lower ends of the external wall plate in fastening, a lower side support part 12U made to abut on the rear surface of the external wall in fastening, are provided from above to below.
