PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention lock for a sliding door improving locking and unlocking operability, and the opening and closing sliding door. SOLUTION: This is a crime prevention lock 4 provided at the meeting part of an indoor side door 21 and an outdoor side door 25. The crime prevention lock 4 comprises a base 5 having a holding part 52 provided at and kept by the indoor side door 21 and a shaft member 6 provided so as to make straight movements relative to the base 5. The shaft member 6, by its pushing operation, moves in the direction of being pushed into the outdoor side door 25 and engages with an engaged part 30 of the outdoor side door 25 to lock it. The shaft member 6 has a locking tip 62 which, by pulling operation, moves in the direction of moving away from the outdoor side door 25, and leaves the locked part 30 of the outdoor side door 25 to unlock it.
