RESIN COATING METHOD, INSERT MOLDING, AND RESIN COATED METAL GEARS

An insert molding method having high flexibility, capable of preventing resin crack, and having excellent adhesiveness and a molding formed by using the method. The insert molding method comprises an insert molding step for separately pre-heating an insert member and a metal mold and injecting a molten resin, a step for holding the molding in the metal mold, and a step for gradually cooling the molding at a room temperature after taking out from the metal mold. By the method, the molding free from resin crack and having excellent environmental resistance characteristics can be realized. In addition, the method comprises the steps of injection-molding the molten resin in the state of metal gears and metal molds for molding being heated to predetermined temperatures and coating the surfaces of the metal gears with the resin. By the method, resin-coated metal gears not causing the resin crack even after the molding and in their use under no-lubrication and having excellent strength, rigidity, accuracy, impact resistance, fatigue resistance, noise reducing properties, and wear resistance can be realized.
