<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal calculator with improved usability. <P>SOLUTION: The personal calculator 10 includes a keypad 14, a display screen 16, and a central processing unit connected to the keypad 14 and the display screen 16. The key pad 14 has a plurality of keys 20, 22, 24 and 26 for entering arithmetic operations to be carried out. The central processing unit is suitable to control the display, on the screen 16, of the result of operations input through the keypad 14.
