ETHANOL/STEAM REFORMING CATALYST, ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD AND HYDROGEN MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethanol/steam reforming catalyst having high catalytic activity and hydrogen selectivity, its manufacturing method and a method for efficiently manufacturing hydrogen from ethanol and water using the ethanol/steam reforming catalyst. SOLUTION: This ethanol/steam reforming catalyst is characterized by supporting ruthenium on a carrier comprising at least one metal oxide selected from zirconium oxide, cerium oxide and a cerium/zirconium composite oxide. The manufacturing method of the ethanol/steam reforming catalyst and the hydrogen manufacturing method using the ethanol/steam reforming catalyst are also disclosed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
