PHOSPHOR CONTAINING BORON AND METAL BELONGING TO GROUPS IIIA AND IIIB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor containing boron and a metal belonging to groups IIIA and IIIB and also to provide a light source devised with such phosphor. SOLUTION: The phosphor contains: (a) a first metal selected at least one kind from the elements belonging to the lanthanide series other than yttrium and europium; (b) a second metal selected at least one kind from the group consisting of aluminum, potassium, indium and scandium; (c) boron; and (d) europium.
