PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the energy efficiency as well as to reduce the noise as to an enclosed compressor. SOLUTION: In a suction muffler 140 having a sound absorbing space 143, an outline wall 147 such as an opposite surface having opening ends 145a and 146a in the sound absorbing space, etc., out of the outline wall forming the suction muffler 140 is foamed to mold to effectively reduce the heating of refrigerating gas released into the sound absorbing space 143 with space saving and increase the suction efficiency as well as effectively absorb the refrigerating pulse sound radiated at the opening end 145a in the sound absorbing space so as to enable the reduction of the noise.
