PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base metallic coating material used for an automotive interior material and capable of forming a coating film not whitened by an aqueous alkali solution. SOLUTION: The water-base metallic coating material for an automotive interior material contains a vehicle and a metallic pigment, the vehicle being an aqueous hydrosol resin prepared by converting an aqueous acrylic resin having an acid value of 15-40 mgKOH/g into a hydrosol.
