PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and to obtain a composition for controlling especially flea of a small animal. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the composition containing at least one kind of 1-N-allyl pyrazole type insecticide, especially fipronil, and at least one kind of IGR (a growth regulating agent for insects and worms) in a fluid vehicle suitable for coating by topical application to the skin, preferably that for a limited small area, in an effective amount and in a ratio for controlling flea.
