PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent for preventing fade of dyed hair with which the hair dyed by using a hair coloring agent is prevented from being faded by shampooing, suntan, or the like; and to prepare a hair cosmetic for preventing the fade of the dyed hair, and to provide a method for preventing the fade of the dyed hair. SOLUTION: The agent for preventing the fade of the dyed hair contains a silicone represented by formula (1) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>s are same or different and selected from R<SB>2</SB>, hydrogen, a group containing a primary amine, a pyrrolidone group-containing carboxy functional group represented by formula (2) or an ester derivative thereof, with the proviso that at least one of R<SB>1</SB>s is the pyrrolidone group-containing carboxy functional group or the ester derivative thereof, and R<SB>2</SB>s are same or different and selected from an alkyl group, an aryl group and an olefinyl group].
