<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, a fault notification method, and a program for monitoring the state of an image forming apparatus, the information processor being capable of surely giving notice of fault occurrence by continuously giving notice of abnormality until recovery. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor is equipped with a means of detecting state information on the image forming apparatus, a means of holding operation state information, a means of evaluating the contents of the state information, a means of transmitting the state information to another previously registered information processor, and a means of clocking time and then transmits the state information to the other information processor according to the current state and progress state of the image forming apparatus.
