<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a client device to rapidly and economically place an order by reusing a job ticket used for a previous order and to increase the efficiency of an estimation process at a printing base device side. <P>SOLUTION: A client 3 (or 4) causes print fee estimate information sent from a plurality of printing base devices 5, 6 stored together with predetermined variables, and based on the stored print fee estimate information and the value of each predetermined variable corresponding to a print order instruction, calculates a print fee for each printer. A printer is selected according to calculated the print fees. The selected printer is requested to perform printing that corresponds to the print order instruction. The predetermined variables are stored also in the printers. When the values of the variables are varied, both the variables and the estimate information are updated in synchronization.
