<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium cell having an efficient performance. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium cell contains an anode made of a carbon material as a main material, a cathode made of a compound capable of inserting and detaching lithium as a main material, a separator and electrolyte solution with an electrolyte solute dissolved in an nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent includes a mixed solvent containing ethylene carbonate by 8 to 15 volume %, γ-buthyrolactone by 10 to 35 volume %, one or more linear carbonates by 35 to 65 volume % selected from a group of dimethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate, ethyl methyl carbonate, methyl propyl carbonate, ethyl propyl carbonate and methyl butyl carbonate and fluorobenzene by 8 to 15 volume %, as well as vinylene carbonate by 0.5 to 9 volume parts contained in 100 volume parts of the mixed solvent. Although the nonaqueous solvent containing ethylene carbonate with a low content is used, properties such as a charge and discharge cycle life, a high temperature let-alone stability and a low temperature discharge property are fulfilled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
