<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dispersion of a fuel injection amount between cylinders at the time of intake port fuel injection in an internal combustion engine provided with a fuel supply system for performing the intake port injection and cylinder injection. <P>SOLUTION: Fuel pressure pulsation transmission paths of low pressure fuel from a high pressure fuel pump 26 to respective low pressure fuel distribution pipes 18, 22 have the same length and the same diameter, which realizes absolutely the same fuel pressure pulsation state where no phase shift takes place between banks 2a, 2b at the time of intake port injection if engine speed is varied. Therefore, an ECU 56 can easily perform fuel injection control under the same fuel pressure by realizing simultaneous intake port injection between a #1 cylinder 4 and a #2 cylinder 6, a #3 cylinder 8 and a #4 cylinder 10, and a #5 cylinder 12 and a #6 cylinder 14. Thus, the dispersion of the fuel injection amount between the banks 2a, 2b is easily suppressed, and the dispersion of the fuel injection amount between the cylinders 4 to 14 is easily suppressed as the whole engine 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
