<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service provision system allowing a card owner side to present card information and intention information with a simple operation using his or her card, and allowing a service provider side to provide a further proper and high-grade service based on the card information and the intention information; and to provide a card reader arrangement method. <P>SOLUTION: This service provision system is so structured that card information of a non-contact type card 4 is read by a non-contact type card reader 2 arranged in a service provision place, and a service is provided to a card owner based on the card information.
