PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction in an information processing unit by detecting the erroneous setting of a processing part in an information processing unit. SOLUTION: The information processing unit comprises: processing means 130, 150, 170 having a plurality of modes and are operated based on the set mode; a mode setting means 110 for setting the mode to operate the processing means; a storage means 193 for storing the setting result of the mode setting means 110; a comparison means 191 for comparing the setting modes stored in the storage means 193 and the modes set in the processing means 130, 150, 170; and a reporting means 190 for reporting the comparison result of the comparison means 191.
