PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided connector detecting imperfect insertion state of a sub-connector housing without increasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: An erroneous insertion preventing rib 37 which can be inserted into an erroneous insertion preventing groove 23 at a housing part 12 of a housing main body 11 is protrusively arranged on a side face of a sub-connector 30, and a detection rib 43 capable of getting into the erroneous insertion preventing groove 23 is arranged on a retainer 40. In the case that the sub-connector 30 is in a state of erroneous insertion, the erroneous insertion preventing rib 37 of the sub-connector 30 interferes the detection rib 43 of the retainer 40 in the process of mounting the retainer 40 on a restricted position, and by the above, the imperfect insertion state of the sub-connector 30 can be detected. Since the retainer 40 which is an existing component is utilized, the imperfect insertion state of the sub-connector 30 can be detected without increasing the number of parts.
