PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger reducible in size and cost while shortening a charging time. SOLUTION: The charging time can be shortened by rapidly charging the charger with an increased charging current until a prescribed time elapses from the start of charging. After the prescribed time has elapsed, the charger is charged with a prescribed charging current reduced in current value, and the temperature of the whole charger 1 is prevented from rising more than necessary compared with the case that the charging current is increased over the whole charging time, thus enabling the charger to be reduced in size and suppressed in cost as a whole.
