PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal detector element of stable quality without dispersion in thermal response. SOLUTION: The thermal detector element 8 comprises: two sheets of metallic conductor plates 1, 2, having the wide mounting parts 1a, 2a for mounting the thermistor chip 3 on its one end and on the other end having connection terminals 1b, 2b for connecting with the mounting printed circuit board 4; the housing part 5 molded by inserting the metallic conductor 1, 2 with thermoplastic resin exposing the mounting part 1a, 2a to its bottom; the base 6 of approximately rectangular parallelepiped shape formed simultaneously with the housing part 5 projecting the connection terminals 1b, 2b from the lower face; the outside covering part 7 formed with the housing part 5 and the base 6 and molding the legs 1c, 2c of the metallic conductor plates 1, 2 exposing from the housing part 5 to the base 6; and the thermistor chip 3 bonded with the mounting parts 1a, 2a with the adhesive 9 between the mounting part 1a, 2a and sealed by filling the housing part 5 wherein the chip 3 is mounted, with the epoxy resin 10.
