PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint capable of preventing its enlargement while preventing the dropping of rollers from a leg shaft. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint comprising an outer joint member 12, an inner joint member 14, the leg shaft 30, an outer roller 18 accommodated in a groove 24 of the outer joint member 12, and an inner roller 16 mounted between the outer roller 18 and the leg shaft 30, fitted to the leg shaft in a state that it can be relatively rotatable to the leg shaft 30 and relatively unmovable in the axial direction of the leg shaft 30, and relatively moved in the radial direction of the outer joint member 12 with respect to the outer roller 18, further comprises a retainer 42 fitted to the inner roller 17 movably in the radial direction of the outer joint member 12, engaged with the inner roller 16 and the outer roller 18, when the inner roller 16 is moved closest to an axial center side of the outer joint member 12, and being movable to an axial center side of the outer joint member 12 with respect to an axial outer end face of the inner roller 16, when the inner roller 16 is moved closest to an outer peripheral side of the outer joint member 12.
