PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet ray-curing epoxy resin composition which is low in stress, does not need treatment at a high temperature so that it can be suitably used for an optical part material such as an optical waveguide and a lens or for an optical part-fixing, ultraviolet ray-curing adhesive, and is transparent for a light signal. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet ray-curing epoxy resin composition comprises (A) an epoxy resin and (B) a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the epoxy resin comprises at least one of (a1) an epoxy resin represented by formulae (1) and (a2) an epoxy resin represented by formula (2).
