PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper carrying mechanism capable of increasing feeding accuracy for paper. SOLUTION: This paper carrying mechanism of a printer device 1 comprises a drivingly rotating metal main roller 30 and a metal pinch roller 40 rotating according to the rotation of the main roller 30. The main roller 30 comprises multiple projected parts 32 periodically formed in a paper passing area on the outer peripheral surface of the main roller 30 and biting into the surface of the paper 70 in carrying the paper 70. Also, the pinch roller 40 comprises two rubber rings 42 fitted to both end parts of the pinch roller 40 in areas other than the paper passing area and pressingly brought into contact with the portion of the main roller 30 where the projected part 32 is not formed. When the paper 70 is carried, in the state of the rubber rings 42 pressingly brought into contact with the main roller 30 in the areas other than the paper passing area, the main roller 30 is drivingly rotated and the pinch roller 40 is rotated in synchronism with the main roller 30, and the paper 70 is passed through the paper passing area between the projected part 32 and the outer peripheral surface of the pinch roller 40.
