PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and highly effective sporting apparatus allowing a user to develop and hold a sense of balance and other athletic abilities and being used by wide age groups from infants to the elderly. SOLUTION: This sporting apparatus comprises a narrow and long rectangular tread board 1 and a support base 2 supporting the tread board at a predetermined height so that its longitudinal central axis becomes approximately parallel to a floor surface, and the upper face 1a of the tread board is formed to provide a height difference between its mutual opposed long sides 1b and 1c and is fixed to the support base in an inclined state to the floor surface F. It is preferable that the inclination (α) of the upper face 1a of the tread board to the floor surface is within a range of 7±5°, the width (w) of the tread board is within a range of 9±4 cm, the length L of the tread board is within a range of 45±15 cm, and the height (h) from the floor surface to the lower long side 1c of the tread board is within a range of 10±6 cm.
