<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical signal transmission system which can surely transmit a signal irrespective of distance and can be constituted at a low cost, a transmission side external device for transmitting the optical signal by the optical signal transmission system, and a reception side external device for receiving the optical signal from the optical signal transmission system. <P>SOLUTION: The optical signal transmission system 10 comprises a 1st optical fiber cable 11 and a 2nd optical fiber cable 111, which are used for transmitting the optical signal between the transmission side external device 72 and the reception side external device 74. Since the 1st optical fiber cable 11 is integrated with a 1st optical cable main body 12, a 1st optical transmission plug 14, and a 1st optical reception plug 16, the cost is reduced. As regards the 2nd optical fiber cable 111, a 2nd optical transmission plug 114 and a 2nd optical reception plug 116 are arranged to be attachable/detachable to/from a 2nd optical cable main body 112, and the desired 2nd optical transmission plug 114 and 2nd optical reception plug 116 can be used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
