<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide alumina porcelain improved in the dispersibility of Mg and to provide its forming process. <P>SOLUTION: When the surface of the alumina porcelain containing Mg is subjected to surface analysis by an electron beam probe microanalyzer, the high concentration region of the Mg and the low concentration region adjacent to the high concentration region are observed and when the Mg concentration in the high concentration region is defined as C<SB>1</SB>, the Mg concentration of the low concentration region as C<SB>2</SB>, and the diameter, when the area of the high concentration region obtained by the circle conversion, of the area of the high concentration region is defined as R, the high concentration region satisfying C<SB>1</SB>/C<SB>2</SB>≥2 and R≥5 μm is ≤5 pieces within a measurement region of 0.05 mm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
