<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system that enables lighting apparatuses and slave units to easily correspond to each other depending on how to split a space, if they are used by splitting the space. <P>SOLUTION: A master unit 1 gives instructions for light control levels to a lighting apparatus 3 via a signal wire 4. The lighting apparatus 3 has zone addresses in blocks of zones Z11, ... and the master unit 1 transmits light control levels to the lighting apparatus 3 using the zone addresses. In the storage area 13 of the master unit 1, there are determined a plurality of sets of the scenes showing up as the combinations of light control levels for each of the zones Z11, ... the plurality of sets of the scenes are integrated into one pattern, and further a plurality of patterns are stored as a light controlled scene setting table.
