GRAINED ARTIFICIAL MARBLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide grained artificial marble having transparency with natural stone-like depth and texture with an abundant three-dimensional feeling with depth. SOLUTION: The grained artificial marble is obtained by dispersing translucent particles (D) prepared by pulverizing a polymerized and cured product of a composition containing 30-80 mass% of a resin component (A') and 20-70 mass% of an inorganic filler (B') [with the proviso that A'+B' is 100 mass%] and having 0.1-5.0 mm particle diameter in a matrix (C) obtained from a composition containing 15-60 mass% of a resin component (A) such as an acrylic syrup and 40-85 mass% of an inorganic filler (B) such as aluminum hydroxide [with the proviso that A+B is 100 mass%]. The translucent particles (D) have no clear contrast with the matrix (C). The amount of the matrix (C) is 50-95 mass% and the amount of the translucent particles (D) is 5-50 mass% when the total amount of the matrix (C) and the translucent particles (D) is 100 mass%.
