PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity antenna device by which antenna elements can be switched or selected in short period of time, and the possibility of causing reception defect due to the deterioration of a reception state can be reduced without taking time for changing the directivity of a diversity antenna. SOLUTION: The diversity antenna device has an antenna element selection prediction calculation function which calculates predicted positional information and predicted traveling direction information of itself after prescribed time based on speed information, traveling direction information and current position information of itself and calculates antenna element selection information by comparing the predicted positional information and the predicted traveling direction information with positional information of a transmitting station and selects the antenna element of the diversity antenna after the predetermined time based on the antenna element selection information.
