PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a side lobe in the vicinity of a main beam and grating lobes in all directions in an array antenna apparatus in which a plurality of antenna elements are arranged linearly or flatly. SOLUTION: For respective antenna elements 2, positions at the time of arranging the antenna elements 2 as regular intervals are provided as temporary positions, and random position distribution components are provided as centered at the temporary positions to decided final positions. By doing this, the positions of the respective antenna elements 2 are provided with random position distribution components while restricted by the temporary positions (that is, while maintaining the components of regular interval arrangement). In this way, since energy is concentrated into the main beam and the side lobe and the grating lobes can be suppressed, in the case of an antenna for power transmission for example, an energy transmission efficiency is improved and leakage of energy to the surroundings can be prevented, and this configuration is effective for EMS countermeasures.
