PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedding type preparation medicine-holding carrier which is a carrier capable of controlling the release of the medicine, is excellent in biocompatibility and in vivo degradability, and can continuously retain the medicine embedded in a living body for a long time. SOLUTION: This embedding type preparation medicine-holding carrier which is a chitosan spherical gel obtained by dropping in an aqueous solution containing an amino group-having compound is characterized by adjusting the biodegradability with the deacetylation degree of chitosan.
