摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speedy shift register that is composed of the same-conductivity-type field effect transistor and has low power consumption, and to provide a display that is mounted as a gate line drive circuit. <P>SOLUTION: In the display, the gate line drive circuit for sequentially selecting a plurality of gate lines GL provided corresponding to each pixel line and for driving to a selection includes a gate line drive unit 35 provided corresponding to each gate line GL. The gate line drive unit 35 has a dynamic type shift register 100, drive circuits 102, 104, and a leakage current compensation circuit 106 that are composed of the same-conductivity-type field effect transistor. The drive circuit 102 connects a node 110 in which a voltage VGH corresponding to the selection of the gate line is supplied periodically to the gate line GL by a drive clock signal &phiv;G, when the output signal of the shift register 100 is active. A leakage current compensation circuit 106 compensates a leakage current generated in an output node 137 of a shift register 100 when the gate line GL is selected, thus preventing erroneous operation from occurring by variations in an output signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
